Eczema is a skin condition that makes your skin red, dry and itchy. It can be mild or chronic and tends to flare up periodically. Anyone who has eczema will normally have tried a variety of treatments to get rid of the condition, as it is highly uncomfortable and also unsightly. Treatments include steroids and moisturising creams, bleach baths as well as simple advice not to scratch.
Valasta offer a natural anti-inflammatory treatment for eczema. The active ingredient in Valasta is astaxanthin, which is the world’s strongest known anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory. Since eczema is an auto-immune response to inflammation, the best natural remedy is to treat the inflammation itself and then the symptoms (the eczema) may automatically benefit.
We advise taking Valasta both topically and orally for the best results. Therefore, you will be able to treat the eczema at this sight of the flare up as well as inside your body. A two-pronged attack…
We have treated many patients with eczema and have had some great results. Valasta can be applied to any inflammatory illness, but for skin conditions it works particularly well.
Unfortunately, Valasta is deep red in colour and although it can be washed off with soap and water, it will stain clothing. So, when applying topically, you will need to cover the area with a bandage. You should change this and re apply every day. Some patients only apply at night if this is inconvenient during the day.
Please see the results of the clinical trials that have been done with astaxanthin on Eczema and also our own testimonials. So far, we haven’t treated anyone who has not seen either a full recovery or some level of improvement.
A clinical study conducted in the College of Pharmacy and Medical Research Centre, Chungbuk National University, Republic of Korea, 2018, revealed the effect of astaxanthin in the reduction of swelling, redness and itching associated with eczema in rats to be positive. This was evaluated on applying the astaxanthin on the affected areas on the rats three times daily for four weeks. The astaxanthin works by blocking the processes responsible for the discolouration of the skin caused by eczema, including the itching thereby allowing progressive recovery of the skin without scars or marks that could remain permanently.
